Ben leads Prima with a multi-decade track record in sourcing, structuring, and executing real estate and private equity investments across Asia-Pacific, The Americas, Europe, and the Middle East. His background includes senior roles at Q Investment Partners, Nord Anglia Education, and Deloitte Real Estate, managing transactions valued at up to $500 million USD.                

Ben is a RICS Chartered Surveyor and holds advanced qualifications in Business Administration and Applied Finance from Queensland University of Technology. His expertise spans capital deployment, institutional partnerships, and cross-border investment strategies.

Advisor & Co-Founder                

As Managing Director of Baksh Capital, Birbal oversees a multi-generational global investment portfolio, with a core focus on alternative assets, strategic acquisitions, and capital preservation. His vision for long-term value creation led to the co-founding of Prima Asset Management, enabling direct investment execution alongside institutional partners.                

Birbal attended the University of New South Wales, where he focused on commerce and investment strategy. He plays an integral role in strategic advisory, capital allocation, and partnership development at Prima.

Chairman                

Kulvinder has an extensive background in commodities trading and real estate investment, managing operations across Asia, Australia, and Africa. He founded Prima Fabrics in 2004, establishing it as the preferred supplier to major hotel chains such as Accor, Rydges, and Hilton in Australia.                

At Prima, he provides strategic oversight, leveraging his global network and decades of investment experience to support the firm’s expansion and deal execution.

Head of Capital Transactions

Matthew Pardo, as Prima Asset Management’s Head of Capital Transactions, brings over 17 years of corporate real estate expertise across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe. He manages global capital market initiatives and real estate transactions, with a focus on deal structuring and strategic partnerships. Previously, as Senior Director at The Instant Group, he led the APAC client accounts team, implementing flexible real estate solutions and optimising portfolios. His career also includes strategic advisory roles at Re-creations APR and Knight Frank LLP.

Significantly, Matt facilitated the acquisition of 100-102 Westbourne Terrace in London, fostering a joint venture between Prima Asset Management and Capilon Group. His extensive experience and strategic acumen enhance Prima’s capabilities, driving strategic growth and delivering superior risk-adjusted returns for investors.

Senior Investment Manager

Michael brings over ten years of investment, finance, and project development expertise, specialising in hospitality and alternative real estate assets. Prior to joining Prima, he was a Development Manager at InterContinental Hotels Group and a Project Manager at SURF Capital, a leading sustainable real estate private equity firm.                

He holds a First-Class Honours BSc in International Hospitality Management from Oxford Brookes University and has completed a Certificate in Hotel Real Estate Investment & Asset Management from Cornell University.

Investment Analyst                

Alessio plays a critical role in portfolio optimization, investment research, and deal execution, ensuring Prima’s capital deployment strategies remain agile and data-driven. Prior to joining Prima, he was Regional Director at PT. Insan Gas Nusantara and Investment Supervisor at PT. Purnama Global Trading, where he specialized in emerging market investment opportunities.                

Alessio attended EU Business School, where he focused on International Relations and Global Markets.

Tony is the co-founder and CEO of First Degree Global Asset Management, with over 20 years of experience in managing investment businesses across Australia and the Asia Pacific region. His leadership roles have included serving as Chairman of JPMorgan Asset Management (India) and directorships at JF Capital Partners (Australia), JF Asset Management (India), Al Meezan Investment Fund (Pakistan), and Ayudhya JF Asset Management (Thailand). At Prima, Tony provides strategic guidance on fund management and investment strategies.

Advisor                

Stephen is the co-founder and CIO of First Degree Global Asset Management, bringing over 25 years of experience as an investment professional in the United States, Asia, and Australia. Prior to co-founding First Degree in 2011, he was the Head of Global Fixed Income Product – Asia Pacific at JPMorgan Asset Management, overseeing mandates from central banks, sovereign wealth funds, and major institutions in the region. Stephen’s expertise enhances Prima’s investment approach and fund management practices.
